My father died when I was 4 years old, my mother told me that he fought in Korea....how do I get his military records or history? I want to find out if he has any medals or anythingHow do you figure out your father's military records?
You need to write to the National Personnel Records Center at St. Louis. They are the archive for all military records. You can go there from the link below. Since you are the next of kin, you will have full access to his military record. How do you figure out your father's military records?
The VA- Veterans Administration is your first call.
http://www.va.gov/
See if they can help first. IT's free.
Also- there is another group that can help.
Called Lyons Research. But I think there is a fee as they do research on your behalf.
There are millions of pages of unit records, films and photos at the National Archives and museums across the country. ';After Action'; reports describe the details of a particular battle, to Unit Diaries which may have a transcript of the radio traffic for each day. The information available is amazing. You can locate lists of members of a particular unit, unpublished official histories of the unit, even yearbooks and other publications that were produced by the unit during wartime. There are photographs of individuals and units. The moving pictures branch has News Reels from the 30鈥檚 to the 60鈥檚. There are thousands of canisters of film from every war since WWI. The records are there and you just need to know how to gain access. It could take some time.

Good luck. I hope you can find your answer.
Korean War vets used Service Numbers not Social Security Numbers. You should still be able to request of your fathers record by giving his full name and date of birth, along with any information that you do have. Maybe you still have the military dog tags, that would have the information on them.
During WWII, Korea and Viet Nam they had service numbers, which can be found on his DD214 or dog tags...You can contact the VA or better yet contact the branch he served in, you will need his full name, date of birth, place of birth and any-other information you have on him, they will tell you where to go from there. I had to trace my Uncle that was in WWII not as easy as it sounds....
You can contact the Veterans of Foreign Wars. You will need some basic info for your dad. Social Security Number and full name to start with. They can look up his DD214 and find out what he was awarded and where all he served.
Somewhere in his papers he should have had a DD214. You can go to the VA with his SSN and possibly get a copy of it.

How much are sega palms worth and how does size figure into it?
Sego plams are priced by ';foot of wood'; per trunk. Here in Florida they are falling out of favor with landscapers because of Asian Scale. This is a pest infestation that can be controlled but not eliminated. The price , before Asian Scale, was $100 per foot of wood. This has probably dropped considerably. How much are sega palms worth and how does size figure into it?
Large segas sell for $60 and up. Size is important.

How do I figure out this proof?
I am having trouble on where to start with this proof. I don't want it to be solved but rather, I would like to be told how to ';attack'; it.
1) If Peter dates Alice, Ben will be jealous
2) If Peter dates Cynthia, Ben will not be jealous
3) Peter goes to the disco or he dates Alice
4) If Peter goes to the disco, he will not meet Elaine
5) Peter dates Cynthia
Prove: Peter did not meet Elaine
I know how to setup this problem I am just having trouble proving it. Can somebody help me out?How do I figure out this proof?
Peter is in every statement. Figure out how to represent it. example';
1) P=A then Bj
2) P=C then -Bj
3) P =A or D
4) P=D= -E
5) already stated in 2How do I figure out this proof?
Peter dates cynthia is your definite, no or's about it.
[THE
Follow from there,
1) False, thus no effect (pointless info)
2) True, thus ben not jealous (pointless info)
3) We know he does not date alice, so must go to the disco.
4) We know he must go to the disco, so he must not meet Elaine
PUDDING]
If you have listened(read) then the proof is in the pudding. ;)
well, because peter dated cynthia, ben was not jealous (and because of that he couldn't have dated alice)
because he didn't date alice, he must have gone to the disco. because he went to the disco, he didn't meet elaine.
hope i helped?
WHOA!!!!. just reverse the list and the whole thing should make sense.
Start with 5. If 5 is true, 2 is true. 2 implies that 1 is NOT true. Use the fact that 1 is not true in 3 - this implies that he goes to the disco.
4 states that if he goes to the disco he will not meet Elaine, therefore 4 is true and he does not meet Elaine.
I am assuming Peter did go to the disco #4 is the proof.
Peter dates Cynthia(5) so Ben will not be jealous(2), since Ben is not Jealous then Peter did not date Alice(1) since Peter did not date Alice, Peter goes to the disco (3) and so Peter will not meet Elaine (4)

Is it possible to be labeled an ';hour-glass figure'; when you have a small bust?
My measurements are 34, 24, and 34 so I am technically shaped like an hourglass, and I also gain weight evenly like one as well. But am I really an hourglass if I have a small bust? All the magazines describe somebody that shape having a large chest in addition to the hips, but I have A-cups. How should I dress then? As a pear or an hourglass? Because my butt is nice, not big, and my thighs are pretty good as well.Is it possible to be labeled an ';hour-glass figure'; when you have a small bust?
well, your hourglass because your hips and bust are in proportion. your hips and bust both measure 34, so that's an hourglass shape. Is it possible to be labeled an ';hour-glass figure'; when you have a small bust?
to be in hour glass isn't so much ur measurements but if your top and bottom balance out
so ur in hour glass if ur bust and but seem to balance each other out
besides when dressing just go with what u feel and look good in
you have an hourglass figure.
if you had a pear shape, your bust would not be in direct proportion with your hips
Im hour glass and i have D cup boobs.
soo...
idk?

My life is like a puzzle with a piece in the wrong place but I can't figure out which piece is misplaced?
How to do that without tearing the whole puzzle a part?My life is like a puzzle with a piece in the wrong place but I can't figure out which piece is misplaced?
Well, if you want to keep up with this extended metaphor, you can just survey the whole puzzle and see which piece doesn't quite look right. Dropping the metaphor, why don't you just examine yourself and your life and try to figure out what you feel like you need to be fulfilled. There probably isn't an easy answer to this question; you probably need to spend a lot of time introspecting to try to find the answer. You don't have to deconstruct your life, but you probably have to try to understand yourself and your place in life, and what would make you happy.
Also, sometimes you can look too closely and things can become blurred and confused. Sometimes you need to step back and stop thinking for the answer to come to you.My life is like a puzzle with a piece in the wrong place but I can't figure out which piece is misplaced?
Somehow the piece of your life that is misplaced has become camoflauged amidst the rest of your life.
1) Somehow you need to find or design a filter(visual or otherwise) that will help you find the piece that is in dissaray.
2) What tools are presently available to you, to help you undergo such detective work? Process of elimination(eliminate all the factors that are a 'fit' in your life, what's left over is the 'misfit'), etc..
3) Is it truly a 'piece' that is misplaced, or is it a piece that is missing? A sublte, but not so difference.... A missing-piece may require you to attend to other matters then the problem at hand, and in your meanderings fate may very well allow you to stumble upon that missing 'piece' where your were least likely to expect it.
4) Brainstorm, as you are, with third-party-objective observers, if friends and family are not of help consider other resources or professionals that may provide insight.
5) Finally is the misplaced-piece a 'thorn in the flesh' so to specak that encourages you to continuously improve your quality of your life... if so, ask yourself ';By finding the 'misplaced' piece of my life be a blessing or curse?';, and what acting on that answer could mean to your long-term-being.
6) Best of Lcuk, in finding or not(heh..heh..) the misplaced piece of your life...
This questions is too abstract to get a specific answer.
But perhaps we should keep the metaphor going. If you were doing a puzzle that had a wrong piece, how would you find the wrong piece without disassembling the whole puzzle? You might look around the puzzle for an area that looked ';off'; (see what areas of your life seem to be missing something, or dysfunctional). Or you might carefully check each and every piece until you found the one that was wrong (go through all the areas of your life and evaluate how you feel about them and what could be improved).
Dropping the metaphor, an easier solution might be to engage yourself in a project or activity that makes you happy. If you enjoy learning, maybe you should read some interesting books or take a new class. If you have an unused talent, use it.
If all else fails, I suggest volunteer work. Spending time with people and seeing lives that are very different from yours is a good way to quickly put your life into perspective and allow you to see what's out of alignment.
I agree exactly with what RJ said in his last paragraph. You need to step back and look at the WHOLE picture and compare it with what it should be. It's hard to be objective about your own life, but it IS the thing that actually works. from the objective viewpoint you will readily see what needs adjusting in your life and be better able to make the needed changes.
