Can a celebrity, politician or other figure in the public eye ask a questions without promoting something?

They never just ask, they have to be running for office, plugging a movie or trying to improve their image. Please post your thoughts...Can a celebrity, politician or other figure in the public eye ask a questions without promoting something?
I don't think they actually care what us commoners think. They're way too self-absorbed and only interested in pushing themselves or their current ';product';. If they were truly interested in what people thought about a particular issue they would ask anonymously, without the ';OFFICIAL'; seal and without plugging anything. The latest one was Fonda who pushed her movie (which tanked, lol) in her lame question. Why don't these celebs get their questions deleted for ';Spam/Advertising';? If any of us non-celebs put up a post advertising our business or product or whatever it would be deleted before we even finished typing it. Does Oprah Winfrey really need to post a question and ask people to watch Monday's Oprah? The woman is worth over a billion dollars. How much money does one person need???Can a celebrity, politician or other figure in the public eye ask a questions without promoting something?
Not in the least. You know they are always selling something
