What style of dress would fit my figure?

I'm generally slim but I have the build of an athlete. I have pretty broad shoulders but a small bust. What kind of dress would look best on me?What style of dress would fit my figure?
It really depends on your hip to bust shape.


If you have larger shoulders and a smaller bust I would steer clear from strapless gowns, all they'll do is have a wall of color on your body which is slimming, and then a vast amount of flesh which would make your shoulders look larger than they really are.


I have larger shoulders but don't have an athletic build... so this may not work for you... But I've always done well with halter tops.


They loop around your neck, and dip low into your chest which creates the illusion of a long, slim line. the fact that it wraps around also cuts the shoulder line, making your shoulders appear more narrow.
