Can you help me figure out the area of my basement?

I need the answer in yards. If you want to go the extra mile, tell me how much I will pay for carpet installation. There are 3 areas to be covered:

15 ft x12 ft

30 ft x12 ft

17 ft x12 ft

The carpet guy will charge me $3.50 per square yard. Can you help me figure out the area of my basement?
Well, the first area is 15 ft * 12 ft = 180 sq. ft.

The second is 30 ft * 12 ft = 360 sq. ft.

The third is 17 ft * 12 ft = 204 sq. ft.

Total number of sq. ft. = 180 + 360 + 204 = 744

Now to convert to yards.

744 sq. ft. = 82.67 sq. yd.

At $3.50 per sq. yd., you will be charged (3.5 * 82.67) or

$289.35

But here's the real question- why do you want to carpet your basement?????Can you help me figure out the area of my basement?
1. 15x12ft=180 sq ft.

2. 30x12ft=360 sq ft.

3 17x12ft=204 sq ft.

divide each by 9 (nine sq ft in each sq yd):

1. 20 sq yds.

2. 40 sq yds.

3. 22.7 sq yds.

multiply by $3.50

1. $70

2. $140

3 $79.45

total $289.45

I suggest you double check the math.
You have around 83 square yards. It should cost about $290 if my math was right
your areas are :

20 sqr. yds

40 sqr. yds

22.67 sqr. yds

total : 82.67 sqr. yds

@ $3.5 / sqr. yds it should cost you : $289.35
Three feet equals one yard.

So that鈥檚:

1. 5 yards * 4 yards = 20 square yards

2. 10 yards * 4 yards = 40 square yards

3. 5.67 yards * 4 yards = 22.68 square yards

This comes to a total of 82.68 square yards.

82.68 square yards * $3.50 per square yard = $289.38

$289.38 is the total cost, but I鈥檓 not sure if that includes installation.
your total square footage is 744 square feet. take 744 and divide it by 9. this will give you total yards
From Excel:

1512180

3012360

1712204

744 square feet

divide by 982.66666667 square yards

multiply by 3.50289.3333333

$289, call it $290 and then add a tip! ha ha

;-D Don't forget to figure in the stairs!
The formula set up is

LxWxH

$3.50x62=
