How can i figure cross section area of a rectangular pin that holds 60amp and 250v.?

i have to design a rectangular pin that holds 60 amps and 250v. I am not sure how to get my dimensions. the pin is 2 inches in length. I have to figure what is the cross sectional area and thickness of the pin.How can i figure cross section area of a rectangular pin that holds 60amp and 250v.?
The minimum size I would use would be the equivalent of a #8 wire, 1/8 inch in cross-section.

A lot depends on how you are making contact. If you are using two springs, one on each side, you want a wider pin, perhaps 1/2'; x 1/8';, such as is used on 50 amp mains connectors.

bottom line, there is no rule, but if you don't have experience with connectors, make it big. I'd go with the 1/2'; x 1/8'; dimension. More important is the contact method.
